■ ■ ■■The-weather .will"-bo Vainly fair to fine, with some showers" at times in western (patriots of the "South Island and the "Jar south', according to the forecast issued' at noon today. ..Lieut' to moderate -south-westerly to westerly winds are expected to predominate with temperatures becoming milder _ For the most part the weather during the weekend was fair to fine. On Saturday the moderate to fresh southerly winds; which prevailed were responsible for a few isolated light coastal showers, and since yesterday-there have also been somo showers in the far north and south. Winds had become light and somewhat .variable :by yesterday morning and they have Temained so since At 9 a.m. today it was raining in Foveaux Strait, but elsewhere tine pleasant conditions were in evidence. An antieyclono has' been moving gradually on to the Dominion The weather was fine and sunny at Auckland on Saturday, a light southwesterly wind prevailing. Showers fell during Saturday night, and yesterday iwas rather unsettled with occasional showers. At 9 a.m. today it was cloudy with a light southerly wind. At Christchurch on Saturday a few light southerly showers occurred in the morning, but the afternoon .was calm and sunny. Yesterday was-beautifully fine with little'; wind. A sharp frost occurred there on both nights. This morning it was still fine and clear. At 9 a.m. a light west-south-westerly wind prevailed. '
Wellington had cold weather on Saturday with a moderate southerly wind, bomo light showers fell in thq early morning and in the afternoon thero woro periods x>£ sunshine. Yesterday was fino and sunny and practically calm. After a frosty night this morning again broke fine. • Dunodin experienced fine pleasant conditions ovoV .the weekend with very littlo wind.
