A few minutes later a brilliant cut through by Ruru sent the University backs away. Hislop -to Wild, who' knocked, the ball on and scored. Rae gained" a lot of ground with a'long run, arid then Thurston made '.ar. dash which Wild finished off with a try. Rae missed the easiest of kicks. A University player was. penalised for being ..offside, and Stirling kicked a good goal. Through being caught in possession of the ball Cormack allowed Petone to get going.
