TENDERS TOO HIGH
GOVERNMENT LIFE BUILDING
Official advice was received today that the tenders for the proposed Government Life Insurance building were considered to be too high.
After the tenders closed, the matter was placed before Cabinet, and it was decided that the matter should be reconsidered.
It is understood that the tenders were several thousands of pounds above the architect's estimate.
