HEATHER GLOW'S FORM
'.Heather Glow ha 6 not done nearly fo well this season as his_ form last season suggested he would. Until Saturday his 'only success this racing year had been a win in the Teri'aee Hack Handicap at Ai#apuni on December 27, and he has done his share' of racing.
There was not.much merit attached to his> win. in :this Brackenfield Highweight Handicap'at Amberley. 'One of his opponents*. Drum Fire, has knee trouble, and the, Other, Courtyard, was sore. Drum iFire, 'who made most of the running, would have won except for making two of the turns very bndly. Heather Glow slipped through on the rails entering the straight, but even then he had only a head to spare from Courtyard. H. Turner, rider of Drum Fire, remarked subsequently that his mount was trying to "save" his bad knee, and that was why he lost so much ground at the tiirna. He was not an easy horse to control at the best of times. . I
