Mr. Walter Elliot, Minister of Agriculture, and his fiancee, Miss Kather r iiie Tonnant, probably started a new fashion by tho pre-wedding reception which they held at Sunderlancl House, Curzon Street, AY., states tho "Daily Mail." , ■ :
Mr. Elliot and Miss Tcnnant decided to give those of their friends who could not travel.to Scotland for their wedding an opportunity in London of expressing their good wishes and of viewing the hundreds Of wedding presents which they received^ Mr. llamsay Mac Donald was one of the earliest arrivals, followed by Mr. Lloyd George, accompanied by his daughter, Miss Megan Lloyd George.
