United Press Association—By Electric TeU-. Craph—Copyrieht. . (Received April 22, 11 a.m.) CAPE TOWN, April 21. Nominations for the General Elections on May 17 brought few surprises. Seventy-two constituencies out >■ of 150 will bo contested. All tho Ministers except Mr. Grobler have been returned unopposed, his opponent being Mr. Ticlman Bods. Tho first woman member, wife of Colonel Eeitz, was unopposed for Parktown. Thirty-eight South African Party and forty Nationalists were returned unopposed. Boosites appear only in the Transvaal. . ■ . • Messrs. Hortzog and Smuts, in a joint manifesto, warn the people against attempts to sow discord especially against tho so-called Independents.
