Madison Square Garden, the glamorous centre of some of the world's greatest spotting events, has been made the central background of an unusually entertaining picture which is the' main feature of the programme at the Opera-House tills week. In the course of following the fortunes of' two . lovers, ono sees authentic scenes'of a six-day bicycle race, one of the most gruelling and nerve-racking athletic events it is possible to compete in, ice hockey,'and boxing and wrestling. The boxing and wrestling scenes are particularly clear, and provide the audience with many thrills. Indeed, even for these alone the picture is well worth seeing, particularly as some of the famous champions of past years are seen in action. : Tlrese. Include Jack Johnson, considered by many critics .to be the best, heavyweight- champion the 'world has seen, Tom Sharkey, a -heavyweight who fought sonic-gruel-ling bouts, with'Corbett. and .Fitzsimmons, Billy Papke, middleweight champion, who gave Georges Carpentier a lacing when the latter was a youth, and Stanislaus Zbyszko, one of (he few real wrestling champions of the world. There Is an excellent plot in the picture, which tells of the heartaches, lost Illusions, romance, and lntriguo which ecntro around the famous "Garden," The cast Is a strong one. and It includes Jack Oaklc, ~ Thomas Mefghan, Marlon Nix-on, Za.su Pitts, William Collier, and Lew Cody. On the. supporting programme Is a clever comedy In which the principal figure is a Hon. .
