(By Radio.—Press Association.) APIA, April 21. " Visits by Lord and Lady Bledisloe to schools and colleges occupied a considerable part of the day, among those called upon being Ifiifl for white children, and Malifa for natives. At the former the National Anthem was played by tho school band. At the latter massed scholars sang it with wonderful effect. It was a really inspiring rendering. Lord Bledisloo addressed the children, and displayed special interest in the model exhibition of Samoan handwork; He planted a teak treo at Iflifi in commemoration of the visit. During tho afternoon he visited the Wcsleyan College at Faleula and the London Missionary Society's Collpgo at Malua, showing keen interest in both of these remarkable'institutions, which exercise a profound influence on Samoan village life. : A MAU INCIDENT. A dramatic incident occurred when their Excellencies were motoring towards Fasitoo village, which they were specially invited to visit. Mau supporters had been assembling in a nearby village, and. when, the , Vice-Regal ears approached there was a large number of men on the road,, necessitating the adoption of a very slow .pace. The men moved to the side of the road and slowly filed past, some saluting their ( Excellencies in a friendly fashion. There was not tho slightest. disturbance, but obviously the incident was planned to stop the cordial reception accorded at Fasitoo, where the kava ceremony was performed. The visitors were tamed by a merry crowd of Samoan dancers and singers. . ■ . ■ Their Excellencies are the. guests of the Administrator and Mrs. Hart during their Samoan visit. Tonight Lord Bledisloe attended a Masonic function. . . '
