CAMPAIGN MEETINGS
POINTS FROM SPEECHES
Candidates standing for the City Council, Hospital Board, and Harbour Board on tho combined Civic Leaguer and Eatepayers' Association ticket addressed meetings at Northland and Melrose last evening. There were small attendances of the .electors in both halls. An audience of only four people gathered at The Realm, Hataitai, where five candidates were to have delivered addresses,' and the meeting was called off, st>me time being spent in an informal talk on rates, rents, and other topics of interest. The Mayor (Mr. T. C. A. Hislop), who has been re-elected unopposed, will speak in the' Concert Chamber, Town Hall, early next week.
