Last season Several Trentham horses made a southern trip in the spring, racing at Geraldiue, Kurow, Dunedin, and South' ■Canterbury, but, this year the 'only, representative of .the centre will be the maiden Bright Song, who has not yet started in a,race. , '■■ ..•>■,■.,.•-> Bright Song, . ■who is a four-year-old chestnut mare by "Hunting Seng from the Gazeley mare Brightly, dam also of Gaimint, hasf been nominated for a hack | race-on each day of the Geraldine Meet-i ing," tp be Held on 24th and 26th September. If present intentions are adhered to her efforts in the south will be confined to the one meeting, and she will be returned to Trentham afterwards. Her trainer, J. Kyle, will accompany her south.
