(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ! WAIEOA, This Day. Haenga Taretipua, a leading chief in the di^rict, left his hotne yesterday to gather firewood. A canoe with an axe and coat was found on the side of the river, with marks nonrby ,'mdi eating that somebody hns slinppd. Af the chiof has not returned home, the police aro dragging the river, it being feared that he is drowned. , J
