SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.
For two hours on Tuesday evening Mrs. H.!»Aplin's seafaring guests were regaled with delightful items, and eageiiy demanded encores. The audience crowded every part of the Sailors' Friend Society's spacious institute. The performers were Mesdames H. Aplin. Gibbs, Stowers, Metcalf, Nash, Misses Parton and Greenwood, nnd Messrs. Maekie, A. Dellow. Johnson, Clarke, lire. Metealf was at the piano. The cup of ten was much appreciated on so cold a niaht. Mr. J. Moore, missioher, spoke on "Where Does It Lead To?" in relation to drink. Prizes for the competitions came from the hostess, and went to the Huntingdon and other ships....
