Mrs. Naunestad and Miss Nanuestad left Wellington by the Maunganui yesterday for iSan Fianoisco, en route to New York. Miss Mary Sampson, Dunedm, who has been visiting Chiistchureh, will arrive in the North Island on Sunday for an extended visit. The Bishop of Polynesia and Mrs. Kempthorne, who visited New Zealand a few months ago, have sinco their return to Polynesia been visiting diffent parts of the island diocese. They expect to complete their tour by the ond of August, when they will settle in their new homo, Bishopscourt, Suva. Miss Zillah Castle, L.A.8., will leave by the Marama on Friday for Sydney, to connect with tho Balranald for London, where she will study at the Royal College of Music. The Exhibition Scholarship which she gained at tho 1930 examinations entitles her to a two years' course. Miss Castle will be accompanied by her sister, Miss Mavis Castle, who will probably reside in England for about six months),* returning lo New Zealand after Jii&t visiting the Continent. The "At Home" arranged by Mrs. Knox Gilnicr, president of tho Women's Auxiliary Committee of the Wellington Symphony Orchestra., will take place as announced on Tuesday,- 21st' July,' at the Pioneer Club. Lady Buckleton will be hostess instead of Mrs. Kiios Gilmer.
