IDLE AND DISORDERLY
"This mau has seven previous charges of falso pretences against him as well as several others for vagrancy," said Mr. E. Page, S.M., at the Magistrate's Court to-day, when ho sentenced John Anthony Crawford, a labourer, aged 42, to three months' imprisonment on a charge of being idlo and disorderly in that he had insufficient lawful moans of support.
- Deteetive-Scrgcant Tricklobank said tho accused wag well known to the police. During the post five weeks ho had been going to tho suburbs, visiting small shopkeepers, and collecting small sums of money for advertising schemes which wore never carried out.
