THE RAILWAYS BOARD
A PREDICTION DENIED
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND,' This Day. The prediction that the Railways Board will recommend the stoppage of all railway lines under construction was described by Sir James Gunson, z «rrwber of the board last evening, as being very mischievous and unfair to ■ the board, and entirely without foundation. Sir James added that the board had not yet deliberated on the position of any of tho railway construction works so far examined. The southern' members of the board, arrive in Auckland on Tuesday, and, accompanied by Sir James Gunson, will leave for North Auckland that morning to inspect the line from ;Kirikopuni to Dargaville, the construction of. which, was recently stopped when the worlj was in the final stages.
