Answering a questioner in the House! of Representatives, Mr. E. G. Theodore, Federal' Treasurer, said that the overseas debts incurred by. Australia since the Labour Government took office amounted to £13,334,000, of which a portion of the interest was provided from London funds, and the remainder by remittances from Australia. The cost of exchange and the bank charges on the latter amounted to £1,197,000.. ■
