INTRODUCED WEEDS
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMBESTON. N., 15th May. Important investigations on tho systematic botany, of introduced plants of the Dominion, with special reference to noxious weeds research, aro being carried out by Dr. H. E. Allan, of the Plant Eesearch Station at Palmerston North, who states that the existing information regarding introduced plants is in a very unsatisfactory state; Many'species have been ' found' to have secured a good hold,'though no record has "been made of their occurrence, and a number of inaccuracies have been discovered.
