UPPER HUTT : BRANCH
Tho animal meeting of the UppeMlutt branch of tho Returned Soldiers' Association - was held; last week, and tho following officers were elected: —Presidont,. .Mr. .William Comber; vice-presi-dent, Mr. C. L. S. Spearman; treasurer, Major F. W. Kemp; executive, Messrs. G. Ml Lloyd, A. E. Kobinson, F. Smith, J. Jackson, F. Lowery, E. F. Wakelin, R. Ashford, A. Hafper, L. Grimstone. Mr. J. Keanis was ■re-elected unopposed as .secretary. . ' .■""■■■' ■ I'lio. secretary's' report showed that the- branch wjis in a -nourishing condition, tho membership having doubled in the last few months. The men were now evidently realising more and more the advantages of .■joining the association.
