"AUTUMN AFTERNOON"
"The other afternoon 'Tom Mix, 1 Dad, and I went for a walk up to the wireless on Tmakori Hills. It was lovely when we got to the 'Salisbury Gardens,' the air was so warm and still. There was not even a breath of wind, and the sky was misty grey. In the harbour below the hulks looked so very deserted and enchanted as they lay motionless in the water. We all perched on old fence posts like magpies, and pointed out the different buildings as they towc;\! like majestic princes above the i. y.. Then we wound our way down the hill, all among the pines and shrubs." .Wadestown, "SAJJCg-SALLS'? (16).
