The depression,. which was an extremely deep one while moving over Southern Australia, since reaching the western Tasman Sea, has gradually been filling up, and pressure is again '.ngV over Eastern Australia. Except for a few isolated showers in the far north and south, the weather has continued fine over the Dominion generally, with mild temperatures and north-east to northerly breezes.

All the chief stations experienced a fine mild day yesterday. It was cloudy at times at both Auckland and Wellington, misty most of the day at Christchurch, and i'oggy in the early morning at Dunedin.

■ The forecast is for moderate to strong northerly winds, backing to westerlies later in most parts. The weather will still bo fair to cloudy, with mist or fog at places. Some scattered showers arc likely in the western districts/ Temperatures will continue to be mild.
