NO FORCED SALES
RIVERINA FARMERS v ■ READY RESPONSE TO RALLY SYDNEY, 18th March. ] An Albury message states that as a | sequel to the recent determination of ■ local farmers to resist the selling up of any of their number for default was the massing of about 200 men where' a sale was advertised to take place. Horsemen went from farm, to farm telling every man that ho was required to attend the sale and assist, if the occasion demanded, in preventing one of their number from being inado a victim. The ready response proved that, the farmers were in earnest in their in-' tention to resist forced sales. Tho auctioneer, however, did not put in an appearance, and the men dispersed, resolving to return if needed.
