When an aeroplane made a forced landing on Canvey Island, Essex, recently, a policeman demanded to.see the airman's licence. As he failed to produce this he received a summons to appear at Soutnend Police Court. The Bailwav Department announce the, issue of specially reduced fares and ipecial train .arrangements for the race meeting at Awapuni on-21st*and 23rd March. See advertisement in this, issue.
