CENSURE MOTION
DISCUSSION STIFLED
BAVIN'S STRONG PBOTEST
SYDNEY, 18th February. A censure motion on the Lang Government as a result of the Premier's repudiation proposals was launched by Mr. T. B. Bavin in the Legislative Assembly to-day, but had not gone far when i a closures was applied, the motion for which was agreed to on a strictly party division by 44 votes to 25. , The House was in an uproar for many minutes. Mr. Bavin exclaimed: /'The Government's action in stifling the discussion on such an important question as the proposed repudiation of national obligations would be properly appraised by the people of New South Wales."
