WANGANUI MEETING TO-NIGHT
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGANUI, 18th , February. Entries lor the Wanganui-Taranaki Centre electric light meeting to-morrow evening arc the best received since the national championships, which were held in Wanganui last year. Entries are from clubs from Wellington to , New Plymouth. The thee American athletes, Rothert, Kiser, and Simpson, will be against strong opposition in some events. The meeting of Don Evans, Dominion titleholder, and Rufus Kiser, in the half-mile promises to be a great race. In the half-mile, Kiser will- be against Ogg, the Wellington provincial champion. Hamilton, of Stratford, and Strange Palmerston North, both off three and a half, are nest to Simpson in the 100 yards. The same two men are expected to provide ins strongest opposition in the 220 yards. ■ In the shot putt, Rothert is giving up to seventeen feet and will be on scratch in the broad and high jumps.
