(Received Ist November, 11 a.m.) LONDON, 31st October. | There is adverse comment in official circles in London and among British aviation interests at the action of tho Commonwealth Government in dispensing with the services of FlightLieutenant C. J. Harman, who for three years was assistant R.A.A.F. liaison officer iiv (London. Figures shown the Australian Press Association indicate that Lieut Harman, a skilled engineer, saved the Commonwealth £20,000 in the purchase of Air Force equipment. "At a time when economy in Government expenditure is so essential, it is particularly unfortunate that an officer of such extensive experience and business ability should bo retrenched," said one critic. Lieut. Harman will probably take up civil aviation.
