Meanwhile good progress is being made with the consideration of other matters. At a meeting of the heads of _ delegations at 10, Downing street this morning a preliminary discussion of the various constitutional aspects of inter-Imperial relations was continued. It is understood that most of the time at to-day's meeting was occupied with the consideration of the working, since the last Conference, of machinery for effecting communication between His Majesty's ■various Governments respecting external relations. The form of treaties was also discussed and a Committee, set up by Conference under the chairmanship of Lord Saukey, took over the more detailed examination of the form of commercial treaties.
The status of High Commissioners was also before the meeting. ' On the question of precedence of High Commissioners, it was recognised that it was a matter for the British' Government to settle and on their behalf a promise was given that an attempt to reach accommodation with the Dominions would be made.
Other aspects of inter-Imperial relations, will be surveyed. • . On Monday the heads of delegations will again meet, when it is hoped that a preliminary review of these questions will then be completed and the matters raised will be handed over to Lord Sahkey's' Committee. Before themeeting concluded it was agreed to establish a Committee on Arbitration and Disarmament under the chairmanship of one of tlio Canadian delegates, Mr. Maurieo Dupre.
