ARRIVAL IN SYDNEY
DUTCH NAVAL SQUADEOX
SYDNEY, 3rd October.
The Dutch East Indies naval squadron arrived at Sydney to-day, the occasion being marked by tho customary ceremonies, the booming of big guns and receptions dn shore.
The1 flagship Java is a comparatively new;'' ship of SOOO tons. The other vessels also are fairly new. They give tho impression of quiet efficiency.
The majority of the officers aboard speak^English, French, and German.
