Attention is diawn m the repoit to the necessity ot lepairs to the club Itemise*, and diving platfoira. The sea luis undeimincd pait oi. the club shed loundations, and xepaus must be immediately pioceedcd -with. The nicinbeiship of the- club now stands at 130, compiling S hfe members,. faO and 62 jumois, a slight decieasc, due to the had ■weather dmmg the season. Given a good hummer for the ensuing yeai, the membership should incieasc, as the club has an excellent clubhouse. The club races drew good fields thioughout the season m both the senior and evqntb. The juniois again showed1 "i eat keenness, and they pio\idcd some r\cellent racing. The ladies showed no ]nteie&t m tlic laces piovidcd for them. ZSTot one ladies' lace was swum, owing to the fact that there weie no f.taiteis. The club was well represented at all the mtel(hib carnivals,. The club heestjlc championship was won by Mi. 'T. W. Xewport. The winneis of the club cups aic as follows:—Blair Cup, Mr. J. M. Blakeney; De Eose Memorial Cup, Mr. .T. W. Newport, Rowntree Cup, Mr. A. Jones! JJrodie Cup, Mr. A. Jones; Heath Memonal Cup, Mr. A. Hepbum; Atkins Cup, "Master A. Xoiton-Taylor; Ljnam Cup, Mastei I. Gendall; Allan Medal, Mr. L. G Gmn&tone. The club htc-sa\ing teams competed in ueaily all the competitions under the auspices of the Kojal line-saving Socictj, and put up some excellent peifoimances. The club lost the Wahlcrs Cup to Maranui and the Kovice Cup to Island Bay, and was unable to enter a team for the latter competition owing to the lack ot novices at the time. The club won the Junior Cup the first time it w as compctpd ior. The boys who compobcd the team «ue to be congiatulated on winning this handsome, ttophj, and aho for their kcennesfc. rJhe way they attended tiaining and then cspnt do carps should bo a'les,son to the nenioi1-. Thib team was coached and tiAined l by the secietaiy. Life-saMng classes were held during the season, and eighteen awaidb weie made by the Royal i,ife-sa\it)g Society. Ml. T. Hull gamed the hon. inshuctois' certificate as awaidcd by. -the KX.S.S, Meosis. E, P. Kennedy and T. Hull again instiucted a class ot boys fiom Scots College, and gained 50 awards, 26 moic than lait season.
