MOTOR-SPEED RECORD

KAYE DON'S INTENTIONS

DENIAL OF REPORTS

NEW YOBK, 11th April, i Kaye Don denies a report that he has given up attempts on the motorspeed record at Daytona Beach, but there is a well-defined feeling here that yesterday's attempt is his last for the season.

Don has booked his return passage on the Aquitania for 16th April, and it is understood a conference will be held to-night at which Don will be requested to state his exact intentions before interested persons.

Mr. Warren Baker, the course steward and representative of the American Automobile Association, stated: "I am ready to assume full responsibility for keeping Don off the beach since he himself inspected the beach and ruled it unsafe."

Asked if he proposed to make another attempt to-morrow, Don replied: "I have been waiting for a good beach for ages. •T) car is ready, but I will not stay hero until Christmas. I have a party at home then."
