LATE EARL COVENTRY
GUARDING AGAINST WIFE'S
REMARRIAGE
(Received 14th April,. 2.45 p.m.) , LONDON, 13tii April. A codicil to the will of the late Earl Coventry provided that in the event of his wife's re-marriage she should cease to have the use of the 'Balfour Place house or its contents. The. codicil, which is dated 1928, when the Countess was 85, added: "I think it most improbable that such an event -will arise, but I have added'tho provision for her protection and in her interests." The late Earl's estate is valued at £.228,000. The bequests to the wife included £500 and various personal property.
