FEILDING STOCK SALE

Orenerally the sale was inclined to drag. J_Ue Tong spell of dry weather is undoubtedly making a difference to the demand for sheep. Not many lines of breeding ewes were offered to-day, the market, having been fully supplied by late sales in yards and paddocks, but a substantial offering of rape and b.f. lambs was penned, which found the market slack. Fat Sheep Prices.—Lambs, prime, lis Bd to 18s; good, 17s 2d to 17s 4d; medium, 14s to 15s od; two-tooths, 23s Cd to 245; wethers, 23s 6d. ' Stores.—Two-tooth ewes, r.w. Southdown rams, 21s Od; ditto, r.w. Romney rams, 27s 3d; four and five-year ewes, i-w S.D. rams, 13s 9d; mixed aged ewes, good, lis 4d to 12s 4d; medium, 7s 3d to 8s 4d; rape lambs, b.f., good, 12s to 12s lOd; poor, 6s 7d; wether lambs, 10s lid, _2s lOd. 13s lOd; black face woolly lambs, 9s 6d, 9s lOd, 10s Id, lis Id; two-tooth wethers, 18s 7d. ''"Fat Cattle.—A small yarding, the quality not of the best. Prices were down considerably. Fat cows, heavy weights, £7 2s 6d to £8 10s; medium, £G 16s to £7; light, £4 18s to £5 15s; Shorthorn cows, light,. £6. 7s 6d;. fat heifers, good . weight, £6 17s Cd; light, £6 7s 6d; P.A. cows, £6; light Jersey cows, £o 12s (3d; Heavy Shorthorn bullocks, £11; bulls tor Tiotting, £7 ss-to £11.
