• Once upon a time a beautiful princess was made a prisoner by a giant, who kept lie'r in his castle. Nobody could rescue her because the giant had three gnomes always on watch at tho drawbridge. Then one day someone with magic powers heard of the plight of the princess, "I will rescue her," she said, and going totne castle she waved her magic wand, and the giant and the gnomes fell asleep at their posts, and the princess was able to come out. If you wish to know who the friend was take a pen or pencil, and draw a line from I t0,2, from 2to 3, and so on up to 56.
