ISLAND BAY HOME AND SCHOOL ASSOCIATION.
At present great a etivity is being displayed by the parents .and teachers in preparation for the "Dei Luxe" Bazaar and Carnival of Colour which is to take place at the Island Bay S f;hool on Friday and Saturday, the 11th a.ml 12th April. The opening is to be at 2.30 p.m. on Friday, and Mr. R. M'lveen,, M.P., is performing the ceremony. On (Saturday there will be a spectacular pr trade of decorated vehicles and tandem , teams and it is anticipated that the decorations will ba of a high standard. Earii evening side shows and entertainments will add interest to the general'scheme.1 A 'queen carnival Which is in progresa will terminate at the crowning 'eeVempriW which will take place at the Empire. ,/Uiiatre, Island Bay, on Wednesday; thb-'lpi.h April. It is hoped that sufficient mqrtiey will be raised to 'carry ,out needed,^ improvements to the school grounds. "|
