FIRE AT THAMES

•'V-'v .-.:.' THAMES, This Day. - ~A nine-roomed two-storied residence, sitnated within the borough but beyond the racecourse, was destroyed by fire at 10.50 last night. It was owned by Mr. T. Miles, of Waihi, ana occupied by Mrs. Cameron, who was alone in the house, rfnd is unable to say how the fire originated. Nothing was. sg,ved as there was no water main available. The brigade went out but could do nothing.
