SYDNEY, 2nd October. Tho Premier (Mr. T. B. Bavin) mot the miners' representatives to-day, and had a discussion on the Coal Commission's findings.
Mr. Bavin expressed the hope that tho miners' representatives would arrange to meet the owners in conference, gravely emphasising that the position was rapidly becoming critical, and unless something were done immediately important public services would close.
The miners' representatives argued with Mr. Bavin, questioning the basis of the Commission's findings. Finally declaring thoy were not v prepared to~ accept any reduction in wages, they left the room ■without committing themselves to a further conference with the owners before next Tuesday.
