The following is the result of "the latest series of cricket fixtures:— Playing against the South Africans, ;it Worcester, Worcestershire were ail out in the first innings for 254 (Fax SS), Quinu taking six wickets for 75. Worcestershire followed on, and lost seven wickets for 2(52 (Fox 58, Wright 00, Tarbox not out 50). The match was drawn. In the match between M.C.C. and Surrey, at Lord's, Marylebone in the first innings made 227, Shepherd taking live wickets for 35, and in the second scored 21(5 (Crawlcy 71), Shepherd taking |our for 55. Surrey's first innings realised 2io (Sundham 09), Jupp taking five wickets for 01, and in the second innings reached only 142, Jupp taking five wickets for G3 and Pickthall four for 30. _.. Maiylcbone won by 50 runs. Playing again Cambridge University, at Cambridge, Yorkshire in the iirst innings_ made -120 (Oldroyd 111, Milcliell So, Barber 7-1). Bhin'dcll (of Wellington, New Zealand) took six wickets for 'J'J runs. [n tho first iunings Cambridge University made 211, and following on lost seven wickets for 425 (fclock »0, Grant SS, Tuinbull not out 107). The match was drawn. At Nottingham, in a friendly match against Essex, Notts made 23S in the first, innings (Whysall not out 111), Nichols taking five wickets for 61, and iii tlic second innings declared when eight wickets had fallen for 250 runs (Walker 101). Essex, in the first innings, made 183, Larwood taking four for 27, and in the second 213 (Nichols S3). Nottinghamshire won by 02 runs.
