In the match between M.C.C. and Surrey, at Lord's, Marylebone in the first innings made 227, Shepherd taking live wickets for 35, and in the second scored 21(5 (Crawlcy 71), Shepherd taking |our for 55. Surrey's first innings realised 2io (Sundham 09), Jupp taking five wickets for 01, and in the second innings reached only 142, Jupp taking five wickets for G3 and Pickthall four for 30. _.. Essex, in the first innings, made 183, Larwood taking four for 27, and in the second 213 (Nichols S3). Nottinghamshire won by 02 runs.
