COUNCIL'S FINAL MKKTINC
Satisfaction with the result oi the past year s activities was expressed by the chairman (Mr. E. Windley) at the final meeting of the Makara Cuiuity Council yesterday morning. The past term, said Mr. Windley, had been ,i very pleasant one. They had had many differences, but not serious ones, lie could honestly say that every member ot the council had done his best. To him it had been a great source of pleasure to preside over the meetings and to work under such pleasant conditions. He was sorry that they were not all coming back again He hoped Unit the happy relations of the past would continue when the new council to..k oflice. Tribute Wiis paid to Mr. Windlry 11v Mr U. After other councillors had eulogised his work as chairman, Mr. Wimllev, replvin"' said although the county had been divided into ridings with equal representation he would continue to take an interest in the district as a whole.
