EUGBY, 3rd May The Duke of Gloucester this moraine proceeded to the Imperial Palace, [loluo, and m tho presence of tho High Court and tho British Ambassador Sir | John Tilly, and his staff, assembled in j the Hall of Ceremony, presented tho Emperor with a.n autograph letter from | his father, King George, together with the insignia of the Order of the Gartor. After the Emperor had expressed Ins thanks, the ceremony of investiture took place. Later the Emperor visited the Duke at the Kasiimigaxeki Palaeo and personally invested him with with the Supreme Order of tho Chrysanthemum.
