SAN TOY CABARET.
The opening of Wellington's new cabaret, the San Toy. is announced for Thursday next. 9th May. The S;:n Toy will be under the direction of Manuel Ilyman, the popular violinist, who will be remembered as musical director of the New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition Cabaret, and more recently through his theatrical engagements and wireless broadcasts. The location of the San Toy will be on the first floor of v.hat was once Veitch and Allan's lUiildinus, an elaborate and artistic scheme of interior decorating has civen. the cabaret an Oriental atmosphere. The walls, treated \-ith the t-.-.k Tiffany process t've a beautiful glow of silver and i:«ld. The nriv.it,. lounscs, made to accommodate parties of eight and more, are fashioned like Chines al -- bours. The large dam-ins floor has been worked up to a gliding surface. The Chineso lounge commands a complete view of the dancing floor. Manuel Ilyman will lead the orchestra. Intending patrons are advised to ring 21-HO for opening ball r;serves, as the list is fllliiiE rapidly. '
