The plot concerns a harddrinking hut religiously devout Scutch barge captain wltb four motherless children. lCrie. the oldest daughter. Tails In lovo with the pilot or the tug-boat which draws the barge upon which she lives. This enrages her rather, who causes tho pilot's dismissal. Krle deserts the barge and llces to the pilot's rooms but is dragged back to her unhappy home, afler seeing her sweetheart haltered by her father's lists. How the pilot's bravery during a storm in which the barge Is threatened with destruction, saves the lives of the barge caplain's family and wins his admiration, makes an exciting climax to the pic-lure. The second big picture Is "I'vjamas." featuring l.awrenci> Gray and Olire Burden, .in.l there Is a good supporting programme.
