PACER KILLED

The pacer Jackio Audubon was killed instantly by colliding with a water cart on the Lincoln road after bolting from a cooling paddock after a . successful two mile work-out on the Aldington track. lie was owned by Mr. Murphy, of Wellington, and Mrs. Cullens, of Auckland, who bought him before the cup meeting for a four-figure sum. The I Waihopai Trot Handicap (harness), Park Meeting next week.
