JURY AWARDS DAMAGES
AUCKLAND MOTOR ACCIDENT (Dy Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") AUCKLAND, This Day. The hearing of a claim for damages arising out ol' an accident at the junction of Karangahape, Newton, and Ponsonby roads, on 16th April, was concluded yesterday before Mr. Justice Blair. The victim, Edward Cninpton, sued the Vacuum Oil Co. for £1000 general damages and £12 18s medical and hospital expenses. The jury found unanimously that the driver of the company's wagon was guilty of negligence, and that the plaintiff was entitled to £750 general damages and £12 18s medical expenses. Leave to move for a new trial within ten days was granted.
