RESCUE SHIP ASHORE
BOTH CREWS MAROONED Australian Press Association. (Received 17th November, 11 a.m.) BERLIN, 16th'Nov. Tho Gorman steamer Smyrna, which collided with and sank the steamer Alice and picked up the latter's survivors, needlessly going to the succour of whom the Rye lifeboatmen perished, is now ashore herself off FUssingen, with the Alice's crew aboard. A fierce gale prevents the approach of salvagers.
