SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS.
Barometers have risen slightly over the Do-. minion, and the weather is still controlled by an extensive anticyclone, of which the centra is between Chatham Island and.the mainland. Winds have generally decreased and are tending northerly. Except for further showers between Napier and East Capo and at .a lew isolated places elsewhere, the weather has been line and temperatures have risen. A cyclonei of slight intensity is centred east of Sydney, and is moving slowly eastward. It will prob . ably affect the Dominion within two days.
