EMPIRE THEATRE, ISLAND BAY.
Tho splendid programme at the Empire Thoatre to-night is headed by "Tho Big Noise," starring Chester Conklln. This hilarious comedy concerns John Sloval, a subway guard, who is accidentally hailed as the hero of tho town. Chester Conkling provides comody that is in a class of its own. Tho supporting cast includes Sam Hardy, Alice White, Ned Sparks, and Bodcl Hosing. The second feature is a Tim M'Coy Western, "Riders of Jho Dark." It Is tho story of a lawless gang who terrorise the people. How their raids aro frustrated provides a very exciting story. Tho supporting cast includes Dorothy Dwan, Bert Roach, and Roy D'Arey. There is an excellent supporting programme.
