EX THE COMMA.
A pious lady had a husband who was a seaman. He was about to start on a long voyage, and as his wife was anxious for his welfare she sent- the following notice to the village preacher:— "Mr. Blank, who is going to sea, his wife desires the prayers of the congregation." . * The woman was quite illiterate, and the minister read the following to the congregation from the slip handed to him:— "Mr. Blank, who is going to see his wife, desires the prayers of the congregation."
