"We have also a more sure word of prophecy, whereunto ye do well that ye take heed." (2 Peter 1:19.) I.O:O.F. HALL, 19. LOWER TORY-ST. A COURSE OF FREE PUBLIC LEC- **- TURKS IS NOW BEING DELIVERED IN THE ABOVE HALL ON SUNDAY EVENINGS AT 7 O'CLOCK (GOD WILLING) UNDER THE TITLE OF: "THE BIBLE PROVED TRUE." AN ATTACK ON MODERN SCEPTICISM. The subject for to-morrow.is: "THE BIBLE PROVED TRUE BY THE CONFUSED AND APOSTATE CONDITION OF CHRISTENDOM." DO YOU KNOW(1) THAT JESUS CHRIST AND THE APOSTLE PAUL PREDICTED THE UPRISE OF A FALSE SYSTEM OF RELIGION IN THE EARTH. (a) Christ—Luke 18:8, "When the Son of man cometh shall he find the faith on the earth?" - (b) Paul—2 Tim. 4:3-4, "The time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after - . their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." (2) THAT THIS SYSTEM IS CURRENT IN CHRISTENDOM WHICH IS ASTRAY FROM', BIBLE TRUTH. TO PROVE THAT CHRISTENDOM' IS ASTRAY FROM BIBLE TRUTH IT WILL BE DEMONSTRATED FROM THE SCRIPTURES: (a) THAT the Truth concerning the One God is hidden by the' absurd, mysterious, and un-Scriptural doctrine of the Trinity. (Mark 12:29, I. Cor. 8:6, John 17:3, etc.) , (b) THAT the truth concerning the mortal nature of man is supplanted by the ancient lie of the serpent, "YE SHALL NOT SURELY DIE." (Gen. 3:4, Job 14:1-2, Psa, 6:5, Psa. 115:17, Psa. 146:3-4, Ecc. 9:5, etc.) (c) THAT the truth co»«W»iBg the inheritance of the earth byHhe righteous is perverted by the un-Scrip-tural teaching of heaven-going at death. (Psa. 37:11, Psa. 115:16, | Matt. 5:5, Jno. 3:13, Jno. 8:21-22, Jno. 13:33, Acts 2:34, Rev. 5:10, Rev. 20:6, etc.) AS THAT WHICH WAS' PREDICTED IN THE BIBLE HAS BEEN ACCURATELY FULFILLED, THEREFORE THE BIBLE IS TRUE. Questions invited at close -of address. No collection. Bring a Bible. THIS AND EVERY SUNDAY, at 7 p.m. rpOKY STREET MISSION HALL.
