LONG ARM OF LAW
BRITISH MAINTENANCE ORDER Australian Press Association—United Service. (Received sth Soptember, 2 p.m.) LONDON, 4th Sept. The North London Police Court made a maintenance order in favour of Mrs. Emily Mary Dunne, of Clapton, of £3 108 weekly for herself and 10s weekly for her son, aged 15, against her husband, Michael Dunne, an Auckland diver. It was stated in evidence that the parties were married in 1899. Dunne wont to West Africa, in 1923. Claimant's son, who is living in Cornwall, mot a New Zoalander, through whom he ascertained that Dunne was employed in Auckland by t!io Public Works Department. His former employers told his wife that ho earned sufficient in West Africa to cnablo him to retire. The Court's order will bo sent to Now Zealand for confirmation or variation after Dunne has mado a statement.
