ORIENTAL AND UNIVERSITY. Conditions were perfect at Wakefield Park for the game between Oriental and University, and play was interesting and exciting. University kicked off, and after some midfield play a bright dash by Oriental saw W. Lochore go across in' the corner. Pringle's kick failed. 3-0. Oriental were again prominent in some neat rushes^ but repeated infringements spoiled promising movements. University, troubled by the sun, then took a hand in attacking, and carrying play to the Oriental twenty-five, were unfortunate in not, scoring. Rodger made a good but unsuccessful shot at goal. The second spell opened with give-and-take play, and during a scramble V. Lochore was injured; and left the field. Oriental were dangerous, but Griffen saved well, and dashing up field he again handled and potted a neat goal. University 4, Oriental 3.
