The orchestra supplies appropriate music. "Twelve Miles Out," John Gilbert's latest picture for Metro-fioldwyn-Mayer, which opens at the King's Theatre on Friday, is a vivid filmisation of William Anthony M'Gnlro's famous Broadway stage play, based on the adventures of rum-runners and rum cargo thieves —named "hi-Jackers." It exposes the devious methods by which the liquor smugglers evade the coastguard, invade New York night clubs, and beat the Prohibition laws.
